Can anyone tell me please? Is retro fitting cruise control to a 2001 s type as simple as connecting the switches to the steering wheel connections or is there additional wiring to do. I am hoping that the harness has the wiring prewired to the engine management system but nothing is ever as simple as that for me so suspect not. Advice please. Thanks in advance.

 

Do some searches as it's been covered in some detail before. Be sure to try www.jaguarforum.co.uk in the S-Type section too.

Not all the cars are capable but by 2001 I'm guessing (emphasis: guessing) yours may be.

I may be thinking of posts that were only on the UK forum. (Mine has cruise so didn't take much notice.)

 

In the years that I have been here in the S Type section, I do not recall anyone discussing adding cruise control. I would check with the UK site.
