Default Dashboard lights

Hi all my s type 2.7 56 plate has a problem or really I do battery is draining over night have checked all the usual suspects battery is 6 months old , only thing I can put it down to is the dash lights don't go off unless I disconnect battery. Am trying to upload a picture but I'm a bit thick. When I say dash lights I mean window switches audio and all round the console. Anyway thanks in advance

Do you have the lights on auto? If so try turning them off.
What do you mean by that you have gone through the normal suspects can you list them please?

Followed the workshop manual?

It's a free download.

Default Update

Ok lights are not on auto have tried the hard reset and lights come back on immediately the battery is reconnected. If car is not driven for two or three days it will fail to start. Light in the boot goes off glove box off. alarm have disconnected. Battery charges at 15.6 volts and all cells are wet battery tested at local garage and it's good. have got a rechargeable starter pack which will start car two or three times and hold charge for three months, the problem is one of slight inconvenience really as connecting this takes seconds it's just annoying. As for going through the workshop manual it's a bit to technical for me. Thanks for your help anyway cheers. Am convinced it's the lights and a short somewhere. Maybe will live with it until I have more time and take out dash and have a proper look even ft a new switch somewhere. Cheers

So your interior console lights are on....but not the outside, what we in the states call "Parking lights?"

I dont have fuse diagram for your car but have you looked to see if you can just pull one fuse and then check the wiring when you have time.
