Did i do something ?
2005 s-type 4.2 n/a
So when ever i leave the car and hit the key fob to lock it up, the horn would give me a nice little chirp, telling me all is secure. Today when leaving the car and doing the same routine, nothing ! I heard the door lock actuators but no friendly chirp? I tried again same thing no chirp. Did i break my car? Or is my car angry with me. I'm sure this is a case of operator failure. Any ideas ?

Same here on my '02. Both clicks must be in rapid succession. 1st click locks all doors; second arms alarm with chirp.
I've noticed that if there's too much time between clicks, it tries to lock the doors again.

I stand corrected. After thinking about what had become a automatic reaction. Its was two quick presses of the fob to have the doors lock a horns to chirp. Now that i have that straighten out, I'm still at a loss at why it stopped chirping. ?
Good call !! What we have here is a example of "Occam's Razor" The simplest explanation is usually the correct one. When i tried the horn, nothing !? i tried over and over, different locations. Then, for no reason, i got a return beep, an another. So i can only conclude, that perhaps a small bit of corrosion developed somewhere in the horn circuit.Every thing seems fine, Thanks to all !
