Default Diesel smell on start in cold and smoking

I have had my 2.7 s-type since new and it continually used to smoke, I had the particulate filter removed and remapped for a bit more speed and the smoking diesel problem went away. However during this recent cold weather the smoking has returned and when stationary the smoke or vapour comes out via the passenger side front wheel arch. It goes after driving off. Any ideas?

Hello allnlu,

You are going to find that we deal in mostly North American Models on this board. So unfortunately there are not many diesel discussions here. You may want to try the Diesel Board found here: Diesel variants - All models - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Another option is to head here: JaguarForum.com - The World's # 1 Jaguar Car Forum it is more Euro based.

Good luck in your quest
