Default Do 2004-2006 Headlights work in a 2001?

As the title says... Do the headlights from a 2004-2006 Jaguar S-type R FIT into a 2001 S-type?

I know that wiring will have to be done to make the HID's work and what not but do the lights actually fit?

and if so What is a good price to pay for a set of two?

Thanks all,
T.C.

I'm not sure but since the S-Type went thru a major re design in 2003 most likely not but I'm not real sure. Try a web search for the headlights and maybe it will tell you which years they will fit. As for price I've seen posts talking about 1800.00 per pair but that's probably not including all the other components needed like the ballasts, sockets and bulbs. I think that's just for the assemblies. Those prices are from the dealer also. Personally I've never seen the HID assemblies anywhere for sale. You also could actually call a dealer and probably get all the info that you are looking for.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Hey Mep did your 2007 headlights have oem HID's? If so did was it a direct plug-n-play? Meaning no wiring splicing or anythnig special needing to be done?

you have to remove the front bumper cover to replace the assemblies, its not real hard. The lights are the same as are the connectors, but you have change the power ands ground triggers. Also the price Mojo quoted includes everything as an assembly and once you correct the wiring, they'll fire right up, and youll will never want another car without HID.I have converted both my truck and wifes jag and customers to projector HIDs

Hey Brutal I know you are tech certified and all, but I just want to make sure before I lay down a lot of cash. You posted pics of an XJ, were you referring to the S-type also? and do you have any pics of an early S-type with late model projectors retrofitted?
