I used to drive a sports car like a mad man, and I have been pulled over several times before getting my Jag. I have not been pulled over in my Jag, mainly because now I drive calmer and relaxed. Also, the Jag doesnt have tint like the sports car used to.

In general, my experience has been that being cooperative and apologetic (where necessary) got me home without much delay, and in some cases without even getting a ticket. I cant see how it would be helpful to take the "I know my rights" angle with the cops. However, having said that, if you dont know whether anyone has stashed contraband in your car (do you really trust everyone that has used or been in your car?), or if you and this particular officer have bad history to the point that he may plant something in your car, then I wouldnt advise you to casually grant him permission to search your car.

Er... maybe we should be nicer to him as he clearly has something like an autistic spectrum disorder.

Figured a thread with over 100 posts would get one of our attentions guys...geez, you guessed it, thread about getting pulled over in your jag is now dead.

I'm not going to give out any infractions, but if this type of repertoire continues into another thread, we will.

Words that give you ***erisks = bad, just so you all know this. If I see more than one in a given thread, you're in trouble and someone will be dropping you a PM shortly. If i see more than one in a single post, there will be some banning buttons pressed, for a 'time-out'. If I see lots of asterisks coming out, and a blatant disregard for courtesy, well it was good seeing you.

We can all have an intelligent conversation, even in debate-mode, w/o resorting to potty words and a poor attitude. If you find you can't type w/o thinking it thru clearly and rationally first, we'll be glad to help you with some treatment.
