hi
ive determined the main (lh side) pump is fine bcuz if i keep the tank over hald full it rums if i let it gets low on fuel it will start sometimes but has a very weak idle, i'm guessing the rh pump isnt pumping gas to the primary pump..does this sound correct???
i've found airtex makes the lh pump but i cant find any aftermarket companies that make the right side...any ideas who makes one other then jag?

 

You had better educate yourself!! Please get the factory JTIS and JEPC. They are both free on this site.

NO, NO and no. The STR has a completely different fuel system than any other S Type. Both pumps feed the STR engine directly because it makes so much power under boost. The second pump kicks in at around 3000 rpm.

ALL other S Types use the jet pump/fuel pump set up. You will need to buy the correct pump from the dealer and last time I checked each one is between $900-$1100. You must use the STR pump and it’s different from the rest. You most likely are looking at the wrong pump.

i downloaded the jtis and im having a hard time running it i did manage to print off the electronic manual from it, the jpec is that the engine manual?
im not good with computers and im doing the best i can trying to navigate that manual...so im not on the right path thinking the secondary pump is bad?? jaguar told me i have 2 modules in the tank, your saying i dont?
i appreciate the help these are expensive parts and i really dont wanna screw up

 

2nd pumps kicks in at about 3000 rpm that kinda makes me feel it is bad because when the tank is full it runs until i get on it then it starts bucking, maybe the secondary side of the tank fills up before the primary so thats why it barely idles when low on fuel???
