So to preface this, I’ve got an 08 S-Type 3.0. The vehicle’s door lock actuators activate and you can audibly hear all doors trying to lock/unlock. The problem here is that it actually does not lock/unlock the doors despite trying to. It’s the same whether or not I am using the key itself or the key fob. Using the lock button inside the vehicle does nothing either. The door lock actuators actively try to engage which leads me to believe that it is not an issue with power. I am baffled as all four doors do not respond at all. Has anyone encountered this and know the fix? It will be quite costly to replace all four door lock actuators…

 

We had similar issues on my wife's long gone RRover Sport. I suggest before you do anything, make sure your battery is charged. I know... check anyway.

 

Raid, there are several threads about the lock actuators. I personally have 1 or 2 with full explanations and procedures how to diagnose which actuator is bad. If 1 is bad they all act bad.
