dose any know what this part is that came off

dose any know what this part is that came off? this fell from under the dash by my brakes when goingoverRR crossing. were does it go??

If it was from an XJ, I'd say for sure it was one of the retaining clips that secures the veneer trim panel to the face of the instrument cluster. I don't work onS Types, but I bet that's what fell out of yours.

thanks for ur help i was kind of thinking that. will i guses that1 morething on my list of 10 that i havetell the dealer about tomorrow.

Bobby....just pull the wood off. If it is 2003 or newer, it just pulls off. Look to make sure the clips are there and install the missing one.

JTO....they havent changed the way they retain the fascia finishers....even now on the XF
