driver side getting hot
I have a 2006 jaguar s type 3.0,my a/c stopped blowing cold air and now blowing hot on both sides, through the vents especially on my side even when a/c and heat are off.. I just changed the dccv. and it is still blowing hot air.... can anyone tell me what should I check or replace next... summer is getting close.... thanks in advance...

1) Was the system blowing hot air with the old DCCV? In other words, what was the reason for changing the valve?
2) What happens when you toggle the climate control selector all the way down to LO? Manually selecting LO bypasses many of the automatic temperature control functions and is a big help for troubleshooting.
3) Does the external air temperature indicate fairly accurately? The automatic temperature control looks at external air temperature, among other things.
4) With the engine running, look at the pulley on the AC compressor. Does the clutch ever engage? If not familiar with the AC clutch, the pulley always spins. The face of the pulley is the clutch. When disengaged, the face of the pulley (and the compressor shaft) is stationary. When engaged, the face spins with the pulley. Normal action is for the clutch to cycle on/off maybe every 20 seconds or so.
5) When was the last time the refrigerant was serviced? The fault could be as simple as low refrigerant.

your old dccv valve if defective may have damaged the ccm (climate control module) in the dash board! many threads about this on here about this , there is also a website on diagnosing jaguar climate control issues with links to that on here somewhere too . but could be one of a no# of things !
