I can get all the doors & the trunk to lock except the drivers by putting the alarm on with the remote otherwise everything opens up again when I try just to lock with the Key or the remote. i have had the door card off and put a very small amount of WD 40 in to try and ease it , but I am starting to think it is the solenoid !!!

 

This is going to sound goofy, but trust me.. You started another thread where the "low washer" lamp won't go out and now your locks are acting up as well.... Before you go spending a bunch of money, get a new battery. These cars are known to start doing goofy things as the battery starts to go bad. A bit of a warning, some users have had their battery tested as good and still the problems went away when they replaced it.

Maybe not connected properly. Or poor ground. Or charging poorly. Or damp in the trunk.

It would help you if you put your car details in your Profile as many faults are specific to certain years and/or engine sizes.

 

I think its the door lock actuator managed to get one for 4.99 stirling will see how it goes hope this right !!!

 

Thats not an S Type door actuator, expect to pay around £50 for a pre-enjoyed one
