Driver's Power Seat Problem!!!!!
Hello,
I have an 03 S-Type anf after being out of town for 2 months, the driver's side seat is not moving up and down. I can move front, back, tilt the front of the seat up-n-down, but I can't raise or lower the overall seat height. I can hear and feel the motor when I try to adjust the seat down, but no movement.
Being 6'1'' I have to slam the seat all the way down to drive comfortably. ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Surfer-J,
This may be a bit of a long shot, but have you looked under your seat to see if there was anything that would prevent your seat from moving? Also, have you tried to manually move your seat up or down while using the switch?

Surfer, it sounds like the gears for the seat are broken or off track. So, the best advice that I can tell you to do is to pull the seat out of the car, flip it over and inspect the mechanisms there. Once you get the seat flipped, odds are the problem will show itself.
