Default Drooping Headliner Shell

Has anyone had their headliner shell drop? Mine was like that since 9k, only 7 months ago, when I got it. It sat outside in Miami for years so maybe the heat changed the chemistry of the glue. The droop is at the aft portion of the sunroof where the round plastic disc is in the headliner.

I can push it up to it's normal position and it sticks for a few seconds but, like warped wood, resumes its natural position.

And now it's starting to creak at the left rear section near the rear side window, maybe starting to pull away at the side? I had a new fabric installed and they couldn't correct it.

Wish I had a better answer for you, but what happens is the foam layer disintegrates under the fabric. Whether you reglue the existing fabric or install new fabric over the old foam, it will fail again soon. The only fix is to get a complete new headliner assembly, or recover the old one after completely removing all of the old foam.

I should have been clearer-the headliner fabric was completely replaced, no probs there. It's the shell under the fabric that's 'warped' and sagging at the back of the sunroof-pulled away from the roof shell or whatever it attaches to.

Not my car but this is the area that's pulled away from the inside roof, maybe 2".

I have heard that Marvel's Mystery Oil will cure anything. I would recommend applying it to your headliner immediately.

Well, Marvel Mystery helped with the squeak but increased to sag...
