Default DSC and Stoplights

I am sick of DSC applying the brake or whatever it does when I stomp on it, trying to get a jump on some tin can Civic with a different colored hood and tuner exhaust.

This even happens when I stomp on it in completely dry weather, its almost like I have to feather it off the line then punch it. Yes, yes I know, I can just turn it off but I also dont want to spin around in a circle.

Anyways just a little rant, I just smoked G35/7 (not sure it was dark) but I had to overtake him after the DSC F'd everything up for me off the line.

Thing is so sensitive. Ok I'm done.

Wink

...I have a solution and it's really quite a simple one - don't race off stoplights or anything requiring a launch - it's rough on the mechanics of the car and just flat out breaks sh*t - course some might say ___________ (fill in the blank)

I prefer to take the car up to real speed and see who buckles first - nothing quite like a good lengthy heart-pound combined with copious quantities of adrenalin - always pick your spot and ignore his - patience as sometimes ya have to pass up an oportunity if it ain't safe and the humiliation potential is just not high enough.

Cunning always beats enthusiasm...

Ya I hear ya. I rarely, rarely just stomp on it from a dead stop but when I pull up to a new 335i i want to know what to expect from the STR when I romp on it. I am totally into long distance or racing from a slow crawl but all you get in the city for the most part are off the line, short distance, from a stoplight, with not much room to run!

Have ya tried it with DSC off? They still might get ya off the line, but it'll look cool as s*it as you blow by them with trails of tire smoke still trailing off the rear tires. Damn I wish I had a V8!

I know. I get that I can turn it off. All Im saying is that it is VERY touchy and dramatic and I wish there were a happy medium.
