Default Are Dual Action polishers better?

I am looking to buy a polisher and have two on my list. Both are variable speed but one is dual action with a higher max rpm at 6400. Is it worth the extra money over a single action polisher with a max rpm of 3500.
I understand what the difference is suppose to be with less risk of creating swirls but has anyone used both to know if the claims are accurate?

Yes. I highly recommend the Porter Cable 7424. It does a great job, won't damage your paint and is reasonably priced.

Not just swirls but burning your paint. I have the Porter Cable 7424 and a Craftsman circular but then again I have been doing cars for over 25 years.

The Porter Cable is great and I highly recommend it.

The key to a great shine is following the directions on the products. Cleaning the pads and using fresh pads.
