Hi all,
I have retro fitted a DAB Kenwood radio into my 54 Jaguar S Type 2.7D and since then the volume controls on the steering wheel don't work and both the rear windows won't raise or lower using the switches on the rear doors. The windows will however raise and lower using the controls on the drivers door.

I am suspecting that there will be a specific control adaptor required for the back of the radio instead of the basic one used by the technician (yes it was done at Halfords - a Christmas gift from my partner).

I have raised this with the technician and he defiantly said that he only touched the audio cables.

Could someone advise me if the controls for the rear windows would be affected by the change in radio please.

It is a bit obvious but is the rear window door inhibitor switch on the drivers door in the correct position?
If set to do so this will turn off the rear door switches.

Ok spot the idiot.... I didn't know there was such a button and have turned it off so the back windows now work again.
