Default Emergency / Park Brake

Did a quick search on here that came up with nothing, so I was wondering if anybody knew how hard it is to replace the pads for the above if you DIY? Mine has just about 1mm left of material and I'd hate to ruin the rotors. Also, are these pads only available through the dealership? Thanks in advance!

yes they are dealer only. Contact Nalley Jag in georgia. The links in the vendor forum will get you the parts you need quite quickly and for the best price around. Doing the pads isnt too bad at all. I recommend releasing the parking brake lines before doing them though. It will make you life much easier.

do NOT go through a dealer.. send a PM to Mafioso who can get direct through napa.. I know.. i just did this and got them a couple days ago for less then half what the dealer told me... super simple to replace as well.. 2 pins to remove and 2 bolts to remove the caliper and screw back the piston... totally the most basic of tasks...

since its an STR, Brake Rotors Discs Pads Brakes Cross Drilled & Slotted mine came with pads, however i am running akebono pads on it. (the lack of brake dust is well worth the price.)

294 for front rotors and pads, shipped.

247 for rear rotors and pads

BOTH sets are : Premium Dimpled and Slotted Brake Rotors
