Ok so as a lot of you know i'm new to the STR. I have only owned my 07 for a month now! Well it's been in storage since I brought it home being how the weather SUCKS here in NY lately! Anyway, I started it up today to let it run for bout 10 minutes or so. I noticed some squealing which I presume is the belt upon start up? Maybe a tensioner? Not sure what's more common on these cars as I'm new to them. Also after it warmed up I noticed the engine seemed noisy. Like valves or injectors perhaps? Tick tick tick tick tick....... Pshhh..... Tick tick tick tick tick...... Pshhh..... Guess I would like to know from you guys if these motors are a little noisy or if it's normal or not.....

Also since becoming a member here on the forum I have been reading a lot as well as learning a lot! So thank you all thus far and I'm sure many more thanks to come!

 

My 2005 STR with 99K miles is very quiet? I do hear some injector ticking but that is normal.
