Hello, I have a 2002 S-Type with a V-6 3.0. The engine has been starting to rattle when I slow down, stop, or decelerate. It stops and runs smooth when I accelerate. This seems to fade or go away altogether after I drive about 5 or 10 miles. This whole problem started about two weeks ago and has gotten worse. Any ideas of what this is? Thanks in advance.

 

Not hearing it.. I'd guess a loose exhaust or exhaust shield.

 

Check torque converter to flywheel bolts
