Default Engine wouldn't shut off

I recently bought my first Jag and have had some issues since I got it, when the engine occasionally misses. A few days ago I had a run of issues that may be connected, alarm went off twice, central locking wouldn't stay locked then the engine wouldn't turn off, had to remove a fuse to shut it down, also 'Failsafe Engine Mode' indicator kept coming on. It has been with an auto electrician for a couple of days who can't find any leakage in the electrics. can anyone suggest what it could be and if it could all be connected?
Thanks for any suggestions

Look for signs of standing water in the bottom of the trunk in the spare tire/battery area.

It's quite rare but water has been known to get past the bottom windscreen seal and behind the dash effecting the pcm, might be worth checking.

Good ideas. If not those, might be ignition switch wiring.
