Default EPA Fuel Economy Estimate

Just for grins, I went to the EPA site and got what they said is the fuel economy for my car. The city and combined aren't that far off. I get about 20-21 mpg for a week's driving. The highway is pretty low in my experience. My highway mileage is usually 30-32 mpg. This is at between 70 and 75 mph on cruise control.

This past week, I drove my 2006 S Type from Nashville to Georgia and return. The trip was 660 miles and included the Monteagle hills of east TN and some stop and go Atlanta traffic. Highway driving was from 65 to 85 mph. If the trip computer is to be trusted, I averaged 30.2 mpg. That's better than I got with an Audi TT coupe.
