epb problems

Default epb problems

iafter changing my rear brake pads an rotors on a 03 s typev6 my parkbrake fault light came on how do i fix it. nervous to even move it

Did you leave the key in and/or anything switched on - could then be a flattish battery (in which case charge it).

You can reset the EPB - essentially remove its power (or the car battery) and you should be prompted what to do. Very easy and can be done any time.

Remove key. Remove the rear tires and manually pull the EPB lever for each wheel until it is fully engaged.
Turn key on then apply the EPB to set.

The EPB reset procedure has been published here probably half a dozen times. Takes 2-3 minutes to accomplish all from the comfort of the drivers seat.
