Default European Racing Stripe??

I know this is probably sacrilge to many, but I am contemplating putting on a flat black european racing stripe over my silver STR...

Just looking for a few small changes to let folks know this is not your grandfathers Jag. I cant decide if I should do it our not and am looking for honest feedback. I have the stripes already but am really on the fence...

Here is a pic of the stripes I have although not on a Jaguar and not flat black like mine, these are the same design small and large combo stripe...

Eh the nice thing about a sticker is if you don't like it, you can pull it off. Try it out, take a pic and we will all let you know what we think.

To each their own. I personally think it would take away from the "elegant gangster" look of the STR but it's your car not mine. I've learned in life that whenever I'm not sure or question an idea, it's best not to go through with it...

I wouldn't but everyone's tastes are different.

What about some "supercharged" badges or "V8" badges ?

I say go for it. Maybe even get them in a matching flat/matte color so it looks like it's "ghosted". I've toyed with this idea for a few years now, but I'm still on the fence about it since I really like the "sleeper" look.

Exactly what I was thinking!! I wanted them to be subtle if I do it, but like you I have toyed with the idea for several years, just never pulled the trigger... Maybe I should just go for it, afterall its just vinyl stripes and if they dont look right r I just hate them I am sure they would come off fairly easily with a hair dryer right??

That's the idea. Fully reversible. Just put them on the right side of your car ok. They were originally used by the driver to line the car up during a race. You drive on the left side so put the stripes there. Maybe add some hash stripes on your fender too...

I really like the look of your Mustang - used to have a '69 Mach 1 fastback - but what is that thing next to it? Some kind of kit car or something???????

How about stripes in JRG? Something like this. It's the Stirling Moss XKR edition.

That Stirling Moss edition looks hideous with the red and green stripes. These cars flow so much better without the racer-boy paraphernalia plastered all over them....
