The EGR is likely functioning well. I'll be able to post parts list this PM.

Guys, I picked up the parts/reciept folder from my Jag and despite searching through it...nothing to be found. Beginning to believe the EGR tube and gaskets were ordered through what was then Nalley Jaguar. Simply call Jaguar. have the last 6 of your VIN on hand. I'm checking who took over Nalley phone order business. Nalley was in Atlanta, GA. An outfit in North Carolina took over the phone order business.

I'm off to the dealer to have the EGR exhuast tube replaced on Friday 1/18
The part is $122 and $4 for a gasket. The service manager at the dealer says it looks difficult to replace the tube, could be up to $450 labor !!!
I am hoping it's much less than that since the EGR valve isn't being replaced it is only the tube needs to be replaced. Am I overlooking something?
Does anyone have any experience with this exhaust tube replacement on an STR?
Or a shop estimate of labor time/cost?
Thanks,
Cheers,
Bob

I am thinking we should add replacement of the EGR tube and EGR valve to the list when fixing the hose under the super charger?

Seems like a natural since everything is apart and I can't even see the EGR tube on my 2005 STR. So it's really buried.

Bob, $450 def. sounds like the price Jaguar would charge ($125/hr) for a job an indie mechanic can do for $200 ($65/hr).

My local mechanic installed the EGR tube for $380 including tax and and a new ($40) cabin air filter. The entire job is slightly more than $500 for this repair!
This is another one of those problematic and expected expensive problems that ruins the Jaguar brand, reputation and resale value.

Default CEL and Restricted Performance!

P11111 and P1646!!
Cleared the codes...all lights are off....so far. Performance is much better after the EGR exhaust tube replacement, dont know why the O2 sensor would decide to act up?
Please behave.

Relax...you repaired an exhaust leak and now the ECU must relearn the values it encounters. A hard re-set was performed post EGR tube repair?

Not sure if the mechanic performed a hard reset post repair
I cleared the codes and they have not returned and I hope it stays that way
