Default Exhaust tips! Who has what? MagnaFlow, Borla etc PICS please

The only thing left on my car I really want to do is exhaust tips. What fo you guys have?? I'm really hoping to see a pic of double wall magnaflos on a car. What length tip do I need, inlet and outlet diameter, I believe inlet is 2.25 on a 03 s type 4.2, and I''m also thinkin 4" outlet would be cool. Lets get some feedback and pics!! thanks!

Wink Magnaflow exhaust tips

I don't think you want 4" exhaust tips. You don't want your Jag to look like a teenager's rice-burner do you ? I suggest you stick with no larger
than 2.5", like mine, except try to get as short as possible so it remains tasteful; not too much coffee can type. Magnaflow part # 35190

Thanks.....Definitely go with the Magnaflow 4" tips, makes the back end of your STR look meaner Its all about preference. LOLz...by the way mine doesnt look like a "rice-burner" with them exhausts, like someone speculated to be . Just make sure you get the right looking tip, I have the part# somewhere for it next to my pic you saw earlier in one of the old threads.
Good Luck.

Mina Galleries has some nice pix of exhaust systems and tips. I would try to get the R-type look. 4 inch (circumference) will look really ethnic/rice-burner-esque, I agree with ttwo.

I'm really not seeing this rice burner look you guys are refering too. Jag79 just posted the pic with the 4" on his and I think they look perfect. Am I just confused on what is rice burner now-a-days. With how jag79 has them mounted they almost look like they are stock. This is what I think of when I think of rice burner exhaust.

4" tips on the STR with its valence and tire size does not look ricey.

The "ethnic" comment is just plain stupid.

The STR needs at least 3" tips. 3.5" - 4" at the max.

Whoever made the ethnic comments is a retard btw...
(no offense to retards intended).

Take care,

George

Well, if all of you are going to resort to categorising cars
by staple foods associated with ethnic groups ...
here's a new one for you ...

An exhaust tip is designed to reduce exhaust gas pressure?? Huh? Isn't a tip just a cosmetic boob job? Wouldn't a Magnaflow muffler do a much better job? I want to change out my mufflers to a MagnaFlow but I'm not really convinced of doing so yet... but an exhaust tip?? Are you serious?

Thanks to Jag79 my 03 STR runs the exact same Magnaflow 4" s/s rolled edge exhaust tip. IMO the best tip. Again IMO, don't let them stick out too far. I was runnin Mina's twin pipe exhaust tips (they whistle "Like a whistle" under heavy acceleration). The magnaflow 4" do the right trick. I had them set so they barely protrude from the rear bumper valence (like stock). They properly fill (not over-do) the exhaust tip cut out, and look both mean and tastefully appointed.

....Majority of all those who have changed out their stock exhaust tips have done the full exhaust mod from CATS to Mufflers and finished it off with their own preference exhaust tips.

Great info so far, I think I really like the 4" to go with the look of my car. I dont have r, just the 4.2 Sport. Not really looking for sound or performance so I don't need the exhaust or mufflers. Just want a better looking rear end. I also like the Borla 20156, but I'm not too sure if 2.5" inlet is too big for a non R

Default Borla 20156 on a Chrysler 300. I like these too!

Any Idea on what length tip I need, and will a 2.5" inlet tip work on my 2.25" exhaust?

Agreed, how does a tip make any sort of performance difference?
