Factory Brake Pads / Who Built the Stereo Unit?
2005 S-Type 3.0 that just turned 24,000 miles.
Are the factory pads designed to start "chirping" just prior to reaching their end-of-life?
My front pads look like they might make it to 30,000 miles, but maybe not. My rear pads look great, probably not even close to halfway used up yet.
I know these factory pads typically don't last very long, so an automatic "chirping" pad design would be great.
Also, who built my single-CD audio system? Is it an Alpine unit? Are the speakers also Alpine? For a factory-installed system, I'm happy with its performance thus far.
As always, thanks for your assistance....

Hi Ken,
What happened if Hans went on vacation?
I could see the entire S-Type production line coming to a screeching halt without his valuable services.
On another note, does your company offer air and oil filters for the S-Type 3.0 engines? The website indicates a 4.2 V8 application only.
Thanks,
Mike

Glad you saw the humor!!! That damn Hans! (Obviously, I don't know much about the entertainment systems.)
Yep, the V6 filters are here:

That's the after market and the factory aren't that much more expensive:

Air filter is cheap, too:

Thanks Ken,
It's almost time for me to do the spring ritual of filter changes, oil changes and brushing up on my cursing when I try to swap out the pollen filter.
I would imagine when and if, the time comes for me to swap out my ignition coils, I will need at least a 12 pack (preferably a dark ale) and hopefully, not disturbing my neighbors with my foul language.
