False left brake lamp failure indication?

Dash saying lefr brake lamp failed but all lights are working? Whats that about?

Most likely it's detected a change in the resistance of the bulb and it's about to fail or its not seated correctly, change the bulb and all should be OK.

Or just remove the bulb, clean its base and the contacts in the assembly, then reseat the bulb. Had to do this a number of years back due to the same dash message you're seeing. Cleaning and reseating solved my issue. It may also solve yours....
