This Sunday is the last day Maryland Intl. Raceway is open this year.

I may hit Cars and Coffee for a bit then go to MIR.

Would love to have come out and met you while watching you do your thing but the following prohibits my being there. 1. I'm in PA (harrisburg), 2. My car's in the shop, end of extended warranty, having the following replaced, Drivers side Power seat Motor and rails, Hydraulic cylinders on the hood, electric trunk motor. I'll keep in touch though so we can go Jaggin and sportin sometime.

 

What's an electric trunk motor? I had not heard of this?

When you press the trunk open, or when you push the little button on the trunk to have it open, there's a little motor inside that trips the mechanism and releases the latch so the trunk can open. One day I got something caught on the locked inside the trunk release lever and it snapped. When that happened, the motor would engage to open the trunk, but never open.

When I get my invoice, I'll post it and we'll see what the part and cost along with the true description are. Presently, I'm relaying what the service manager told me.

I was awake early and getting things done before heading for the track. I checked the track's website looking at the schedule and weather. I saw nothing indicating the schedule had changed and the weather link forecasted an ideal day (39-45F).

As I arrived and pulled up to the track's entrance the air temp was 41F and I was anticipating some great ETs! Then I was caught completely off guard. The entrance gates were closed and there was a sign letting me know that the facility was closed.

After another 80 minute drive to get home I checked their website and this is what I saw...
STATUS:
Sunday's Test & Tune has been cancelled due to the weather. With high temperatures only briefly in the mid 40's and wind chills not making it out of the 30's, it will just be too cold for an enjoyable day. If possible, let's meet up in the Spring. We could maybe have a cruse and/or meet up at a track (Cecil County Dragway, 75/80 Dragway or Mason Dixie Speedway)
