Yes I am, I can log into the web interface and locate the car at anytime, as well as play with the windows, locks, and disable the engine.

If you travel out of the radius the engine will disable once its been shut off.

Is this Jaguar issued or some 3rd party company hardware that the dealer was using? How did you get to the website etc?

Since it does interface with the cars network it does give you real time position, user settable governer.

mine was set on 50% TPS and VSS limit was 70mph.

You can set operating radius.
and other neat features.
very interesting Mafioso, Mine is still set at 120MPH when I got my 07 STR

Straight to the topic guys, I got my 07' STR for 27K with 27.8k miles. I too was going for an 05' but figured it well worth the 07'.

Do you think I overpaid for mine? I paid $28,500 for my '07 STR with 11,000 miles. The factory warranty runs until 7/2012 and then I paid $2000 for the Select Edition which extends that until 7/2014. So I paid $30,500 for the car. It is optioned out (at least I think the barcelonas were an option?). I figured since it was an '07 it was worth the extra 3k?

Hey Glock, did yours have the select edition warranty or was it still under factory?

I also paid $45,000 for my '06 XKR convertible Victory Edition, with 4,231 miles on it. Then another $2500 for the Select, so $47,500. I really liked it so i bought it, but couldn't help wonder if i got nailed on it. The dealer claimed they were only making $1200 on the car since they bought it at auction, but I think they were full of ****.

You have a rare xkr sir! And no you didn't overpay for your str.

The STR's are actually governed to 145 unless you bypass it with the 5-6 trick.

Mine was a fleet car aka loaner from a dealer so it was neutered as someone put governed at 70mph

My 2005 STR will go above 150 mph in 6th gear. Never heard of this limit before?? Just the standard 155 MPH limit.

I could have sworn its been mentioned here that the STR is electronically governed to 145 and all the youtube videos show 145 as the limit.

Except for the 1 vid that shows the needle pegged and his nav said 170+ (dont remember the exact number) and still climbing before the video shuts off.

Jag, its the old version if the 1400. RMU-140

Mine goes to 155mph if i leave it in 6th gear, pedal floored (including hitting the "notch"), and sport mode on. I ended up getting pulled over at about 120 the last time i tried this with my old '05 R. Cost me $3000 to get out of..lol.

AWWW man I know how that feels. Driving my pops s63 AMG and went 143MPH on a 70MPH and cost me $2,400 to get out of. The officer was nice enought to not have me arrested. It was an unmarked state trooper and in a charger that looked stock, thing was he couldnt catch up with me and then I noticed he had his lights on from like a mile away and knew it was for me . **** lke this without stopping would lead to a chopper being called and coming out on the show "COPS" and the news

Yea it looks like it may be obsolete now. Although the 1400 looks to have more user defined parameters and is GSM GPRS GPS. Unfortunatly since I have zero documentation I can't tell all of the features of the RMU-140
