Florida Jag Crushed
I had an accident in my 2003 Jaguar 3.0 a few hours ago. The right front fender has a dent and the bumper is scuffed. Nothing else was damaged. This is my first accident in 14 years.
That is about the only damage. Any guesses how much that is going to cost?

Right front fender - $600
Front bumper - $450
New paint to match the rest of the car - $1200
Being so pissed that you messed up your kitty that you want to go on a rampage and dent every Beemer you see - priceless

FloridaJag, sorry to read this. I presume everyone involved is okay. My guest-a-met $1,473.69, it is a Jaguar! Maybe you should make this a poll and the closest one receives a pat on the back and a few smileys.
Thank you for your thoughts. I will keep you posted on what happens. The only thing really wounded in this case is my ego. I'm glad no one was hurt. That would have made a minor headache into a real life-changing situation.
Depending on what happens to my insurance and the whole lot of it, I will likely be selling this car. I can't afford to insure 2 vehicles (my Saturn and the Jag) if they raise my rates.
Let me know if anyone has an interest in a second Jag.

Do you need to make a claim? Maybe you could get a replacement fender (even the right color) from a wrecker, maybe even an online one? Sounds like the bumper might mend.

Similar thing happened to my X.. My neighbor backed out of her driveway and hit the drivers side fender right by the headlight. She didnt break the light, but dinged and scratched the fender, hood and peeled paint off the bumper. Since she offered to pay I went around for estimates and they ranged from $985 to $1300+ to fix and properly respray the parts in questions. I went to my body guy and he is going to do it for $650 cash.. He does excellent work and I have given him plenty of referrals/business so thats why I am getting this price.
After the holidays I will be dropping the X off and getting her fixed so she looks 100% again.
