Default Front Suspension Type

Hello,

I am buying coilovers for my 2005 S Type 4.2 Sport naturally aspirated and there are two choices for the front suspension- eyelet or fork type suspension. If anyone knows which one will work it would be much appreciated

The original part numbers can be found here: https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.../brand/jaguar/

Is it not obvious by looking at the bottom of the existing shocks?

Ah, so it's eyelet. I was just a little confused because when I typed in front suspension for my car in Google all the pictures had a fork connections

Forks, huh
Is there two different types of suspension? Like one active dampening and one not? Because this is what rock auto says it is, and AutoZone has them both listed.

Does you car have CATS active suspension? You can tell by a plug and wire coming out of the top of your struts when you open the hood and the color of the OEM struts are green. (Some cars came with black plastic covers that hide the top of the strut that you may have to remove in order to see.)

FYI; the struts are different in the front for 1999 to 2002.5 S-types - Earlier suspension design
