Default Front wheel hub

When I had my rear done I had to take it to the dealership to install it because of how it's pressed in. I thought I remember from back then that the fronts were different and possible to replace at home. Is that the case? Would it be difficult to replace the front myself?

There are a few threads about this. It should be possible and not very difficult, but you might want to soak the area in PB Blaster or similar as the difficult part is separating the bearing from the knuckle after all the bolts are loose. Often times they get rusted/corroded together over time and unless you have a lift you probably won't have room to swing a big enough hammer at it .

+1 The front hub wheel bearing swap is a ton easier than the rears.

When I was installing my H&R springs, I also changed both of my front hubs. I had a really hard time getting them out. The car came from Chicago so they were extremely rusty. I soaked it over night. I used a giant hammer, crowbar, torch, a metal pole, and about 5 hours to get them finished. This was the hardest hub assembly replacement I've ever done and I've done few before. I would actually pay someone for this job. So I hope your replacement job wasn't as bad.
