Fuel Pump Warranty Repair
Since picking up my 03 STR nearly three years ago with 85k on the clock, the fuel gauge would only reach before the half full mark upon a full tank fill-up, the auto-on/off headlamp feauture didn't work, and an intermittant transmission banging into gear issue. At the time, these anomalies could be dealt with in the future. The future arrived and a comprehensive warranty was put in place ($4000 @ $160/month) five months ago. Recently, the trigger was pulled to unleash its awesome power....well, some power. Placed against it were a passenger side drooping HID headlight: Not covered. Fuel sending unit: Covered! A new passenger side fuel tank pump with integrated sending unit solved the "Guess how much fuel" debacle. Faulty auto-headlamp/A/C thermo/Alarm beacon sensor on center of dash: Not Covered! No biggy, cause the indy mechanic will install the sensor for $35. Transmission: Advized to bring car to AMMCO for inspection. They warranty trans. for three years or 50k miles. Now, if I could only keep the fuel gauge which presently reads full to remain full without further fuel expense, LOL. Keep ya all posted on the upcoming warranty trans. issue.

Don't know BRUTAL. The mechanic suggested I call warranty company. Their marketing company solicited me and mentioned full electronic coverage, including lamps. I'll give em hell this afternoon.
