Default Fuel trims

Hello. I'm really enjoying learning the technical side of ownership of a Jaguar. I'm wanting to understand fuel trims a bit better though. At idle my car hovers around 5.6, and 6.0 LT and. 0.0, 0.0 ST. Does this sound close to normal?

They look ok, the closer to zero the better, but you never get zero
These two clip on youtube explained trims quire well

I think OK as an answer might still leave the original poster with a little concern. I would call those numbers quite acceptable. Learning how to read trims is a beneficial pursuit. Understand that trims are a dynamic adjustment, driven by the upstream O2 sensor, to injector pulse rates that are plotted against a static set of preprogrammed values. Using trims to troubleshoot will save you tons of money instead of throwing parts at a problem.

Thank you so much for responding so soon. I was thinking that possibly the fuel trims being out of wack would cause a ever so slightly jerk during acceleration.

They can do that, but the posted ones look too small for that.
