Gas Door
Be sure and keep it lubed up with white Lithium grease after the repair. Some people have had this break multiple times.
This list forwarned me and I keep it well lubed and at 99K miles it still works great even with all this ice and cold weather.

Hi all,
Not looking to hijack anyones post, but didn't want to post what looked like a repeat.
Tonight I went to get some fuel in my 2000 4.0 and the fuel flap wouldn't open with the button. I used the pull cord in the boot and managed to get it open. I had to really pull hard on the flap to get it to open.
Now, with the flap open, if I operate the button or pull the cord, the lock tab hardly moves at all.
Any ideas what can be wrong? the hinge and mechanism is well lubed.
Thanks
Mike
