Default gearbox faukllllt

bought a 2005 stype R 13 months ago in perfect cond at 58k. it has 65k now. about a month ago i decided to clean the air filter. im the 2nd owner. the 1st had a K & N air intake, and a mina exhaust installed. after i cean the air filter, i decided to get the car detailed, as im driving noticed loss of power, and gearbox fault on the dash. stop turned car off so i can road side, the car has run perfect until that day. while waitingfor the tow,turned car on and it was fine. i have the car washed once a week, and have the same problem. then we recently had a weeks worth of rain in california, and the gearbox fault is on all the time, car ill only like its in 2nd or 4th gear only, sport doesnt work anymore. reverse works fine but when going from R to D i hear a clunk. aslo notice very small leak on passenger side. took itto aamco. they said is comin g from trans but i need newtranny 4500 for rebuild or 7600 for new. been reading the gearbox fault thread need your help,all you jag tech. what to do first, 2nd, 3rd. also bought and extended warrant a week after the 1st gearbox fault light came on. but that doesnt kick in for another7 days. 30 day waiting period. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little disjointed list but did the detailers by any chance pressure wash the engine. That is a big NO-NO!

Gearbox faults without a corresponding CEL/MIL says electrical issues or ATF level.

Wait a week!

sounds like the connector sleeve for the trans is leaking and the contacts a wet

you may only need a tranny pan and connector sleeve,in the years i have worked for jag i have only replaced 2 6hp gearboxes the reason it kicks is because its low on fluid

i have a pan sleave and fluid if you can confirm that they are bad

What does this sleeve look like and, and what part of thr tranny would it be uner the car. Thank you for your help , I'm steven
