Hi, I've had that problem once before and now twice today. All gauges exept fuel go to zero. Alternator, oil pressure, coolant temp, check engine, ABS, all light up. Gearbox fault and DSC fault on message centre. No milage on msg centre. Climate blows only on windscreen and doesn't show temp. Engine runs fine and gearbox shifts nicely but alternator doesn't work and it feels like speed sensitiv power steering doesn't work as it's harder to turn the wheels while standing still or moving at low speeds. Everything works again if I turn the ignition off and on again. Only thing left is P1638, CAN ECM/INST network malfunction. Any ideas what to look for first?

Many times multiple issues are caused by a weak battery. Try a new battery.
