Hello

I have an issue with my stype r 2002 gearboxOccasional when cold it stuck in second gear but when the gearbox /oil get warm the problem dissappear as well when you turn off the engine and restart it works fine again.At the moment I haven't used a proper diag system but could that be a valve body issue or gearbox ecu /switch issue.

How many kilometres/miles are on the vehicle?

Has the gearbox ever been serviced? ZF recommend it be serviced every 100,000 km or 5 years.

 

Around 210thm yes it was serviced but I think I have to spent time to run a proper diag

 

Have a competent Jaguar or gearbox specialist check the fluid level before going any further with a diagnosis.
