Hi all .
took a 100 mile trip today ,all was ok driving normally , on return trip i had a clear road so i gave it some gas from standstill took off fine till big clunk /bang jumping out of gear !! eased off all ok ??

tried this a few times same problem on kickdown

been trying to look at posts low oil rubbing wires tc !!!

the gearbox was rebuilt about 4 years ago before i had it ?

could it be a dodgy rebuild or box leaking ?

ive noticed over time when i come back after a good blast sometimes there is a nasty smell about something burning ?

2002/3 str 77,000 miles

its going into gearbox specialists next week for diagnosis
