hey guys, I replaced the string today on the damper that I got from the junkyard today thinking it was going to hold my glovebox in place. I got it connected and all of a sudden the string popped. Are these strings really that flimsy? or maybe because I need a new one instead of a used one that might be worn out? I dont think anything is wrong with the damper itself, looks like the string only.
