After 5 years of ownership of a 2003 S-type 3.0, I decided to get rid of that damn money pit!! On the last day, when I was trading it in for a new car, it decided to misfire on coil #3. That was definitely a sign that, that piece of crap had to go.!!! Will not look back with nostalgia after owning this lemon! First thing I did was take the huge file I had on the repairs, and tossed it in to the garbage!!! Don't want to think of that car anymore!!!

Strange about your Jaguar experience. My '02 V6 has been my daily driver for the last 10 years. I've got over 320k miles on it. It has been the most phenomenally reliable car I've ever had.

 

I felt the same about a Ford Explorer I once owned!
