Default Greetings all and a question about rear sun blind

Good afternoon all. My name is Daniel and I am brand new to the Jaguar world, having picked up a decent 2003 S-Type 3.0 for what is a pretty good price, here in the desert.

The first question I would like to ask - My rear sun blind is not working. According to the owners manual, there is 1 fuse for this, that also powers the light under the EPB. This light is still working, so the fuse cant be shot. I've searched through google, as well as here on the forum for a solution, and all I've managed to find is a reference to Brutal's pulling the blind out while pushing the button. I've done this, tried a good few times, and no good. It still doesn't work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for me?

Much appreciated.

Thanks.

Pull harder?

Mine took a good tug to get it loose. Can you hear the motor struggling?

Can you give me a confirmation on what the fuse number is for the rear blind? I've checked fuse 21 and 26 in the passenger compartment fuse box, and both are good. Unfortunately I've had conflicting information regarding which fuse it is, and my owners manual is written in Arabic, which is of absolute no use to me.

I've tried downloading JTIS. Being in the middle of the desert doesnt help with internet connection. The furthest I've gotten (over 2 days!) is 93%! I'm still trying.
