Should I install H & R's OEM Sport lowering springs (slightly firmer than stock) or H & R Sport (higher rate) springs? I drive primarily highway but want firmer ride but not too firm, and favor the lowered a little look.

I assume you have an STR and if so the Sport lowering springs brings this cars handling to life. It's firm, but not too firm...

Thank you dudes for the help in deciding wether H&R OEM Sports or their Sport springs. Searanch, yer STR looks agressive with the lower stance. Yep, its the Sports for the STR. Just concerned of too firm a ride.

 

How do these STR's Do on Stock shocks lowered on H&R's?

Do you have to go to Bilstien HD's or anything like that, or do the stock shocks handle the springs just fine.

...the stock shocks work flawlessly and shouldn't be replaced otherwise you will lose the CATS system with other shocks

 

I just picked up a set off tire rack for $269 shipped. They're on clearance right now.

 

Qwiketz, what part number were the H&R springs?

 

not sure. They only have one part number at tire rack. It's a little confusing because they appear under 2 different searches, but are the same part.

 

The part number I got from H&R's website was 29300 and when I searched Tire Rack got the message that there was no suspension parts available (for my car anyways).

 

wow, I must have bought the last set. They were on clearance for the last few weeks. The 29300 sounds right. It was listed in sport and luxuary.

 

I paid cheaper for mine from a Jaguar restoration shop online, they dont have it anymore I looked for ya.....but it only cost me 188.60 for mine shipped......and yes they where new.....

Google the part number and search all the sites, that is how I found it....I called to verify to make sure it was for all 4 springs HAHA

Hey, how long did the install take? I downloaded the instructions off the web and it was only about 5 steps for the front to remove and 5 more to reinstall. The rear was even shorter at 4 steps. It seems very quick compared to the 26 steps to remove the blower and 26 to reinstall it!

My springs should be in today. If they come in today, I may lower it tonight after work.

 

man, just got mine today. The service from Tire Rack was awesome. I ordered Friday and they were here today.
