Default Brutal

I do have bluetooth for my car. Is there anything I can do to clear the default screen? I have a blackberry 8100, I know it is ok for my car.

Default Adding Bluetooth

I just got off the phone w/ JPAM and they wanted 187.50 for the bluetooth module part #C2S49706, but told me that I would also need another interface part #C2C34515 which was $511.89. I was thinking from reading all the info on the forum that if you already had the phone wired into your car that you would only need the bluetooth module. Can anyone confirm that both items are needed?

There was a change in the phone module where older hard wired modules aren't supposed to work with the bluetooth module, but that seems to be of debate. I haven't installed any phone equipment yet, so I don't know. If it was me, I would make the decision to go with the factory phone setup and get the bluetooth module and take the chance. Worst that happens is you have to source the newer phone module. Here is a link to another post on the topic that has the part numbers. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...hp/t-6552.html
Maybe check the module in the trunk and see what part number it is.

Here's a really stupid question. I have an STR without the touch screen but do have the phone set under the armrest. Can I still use Bluetooth with the car?

Not stupid at all. Took me a while to get a grip on the "module" layout of the electronics. The short answer is yes. The "but" is, I guess based on the other things I've read that it depends on what number phone module is mounted in the trunk area. When you have the hard wired phone, it plugs into the phone module which is networked with the stereo unit. In order to have bluetooth, you replace the handset cradle and cable with a plug in bluetooth module. That should be it.
