Heard a new rattle.
So I went for a long drive last weekend. My car has about 24K miles now and still sounds relatively tight. However, we hit a stretch of road that had a smooth surface but with some very quick bumps in it that caused the suspension to get worked over on the left side pretty well. That's when I heard the rattle from the from left. It's the only time I've ever heard too and where I live we have plenty of crappy roads.
I did an oil change the day before but there's not much there to cause this kind of a rattle even if the belly pan had a loose bolt which it doesn't.
So maybe a left over from my last dealer service which was for new gas tank senders and a new coolant expansion tank? Perhaps they left a tool behind?
I dunno.
This could prove a complete PITA to find so I'm wondering if anyone has heard of a rattle diagnosis rig that lets you shake one wheel at a time?
That might help track this down quickly.
