Have done some searching on the forums but haven't quite found what I was looking for.

The powered side mirrors I have work OK, and they retract if I put the rocker button in the centre position, but they don't appear to be heated. The rear window defrosts fine but nothing happens with the mirrors.

How hard is it to fit the heated mirrors? Are the relevant connectors for the wiring likely to be there already but just not used?

Is it possible to add the other options at the same time? (dipping etc etc)

As I recall, the special ones have 4 wires and I think 2 are heating & 2 are "dipping". No idea if yours is prewired - take it apart and see

Old threads detail how to take apart. It's very scary.

 

Check your fuses first.

 

Another idea: email jag from their site or ask any dealer for the build details of your car. Those will show what you have.

 

I was pretty sure the heated rear glass mandated the heated mirrors and were standard on all 2003 and up S Types? Please report back with what you find.

Heated mirrors might be the winter pack option...
