they look similar to the mondeo/x type ones but don't know if they will fit a s type.

Now i know my screenwash was only rated to -5*c i'll swap it out for better stuff and my problem should be sorted.

That's fine but the wind chill at an ambient temperature of zero degrees will reduce the 'effective' temp to minus 30° or lower at 60mph.

So even if the screen wash doesn't freeze in the reservoir, it'll freeze immediately at the wind-chilled jets, unless they are heated.

I have been doing some reading on wind chill and it does not effect inanimate objects, it just cools the human body down to ambient temperature faster than if the was no wind.

I was surprised by what i read, a simple explanation here Does Wind Chill Affect Objects Like Metal? | eHow.com

So in short windchill will only cool things to the ambient temp, but faster, it cannot cool things below ambient temp.

but if you google wind chill you can find in depth explanations

I learnt something new on the internet, and i thought it was just for ****

Umm, no. The temperature of the fluid will still be zero. 'Windchill' does not reduce the actual temperature of anything below ambient.
