I have a 2006 s type 3 litre. The heater is only blowing hot air so is the air con. Also the engine coolant light comes after about 8 miles of driving even though the levels are full. Any advice please

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Can you please refresh my memory about the "engine coolant light"? I have an early model (2002) and the light indicates an overheat, but the temperature gauge would also be near or at the top of the band. When the light comes on, does your temperature gauge rise? If so, that's a big problem, and we should concentrate on that.

For the heat coming from the AC system, this guide should help you. Start with the test of the Dual Climate Control Valve (DCCV) in post #2:

It would also be helpful to know the number of kilometres/miles on the vehicle and under what conditions it's being operated.

Is the MIL on? If so, list the DTCs here.
