Thank you for all the information. I just bought a STR and it blows hot. I’ll work through the steps layers out and see if I can fix it. And add add some fuses to the control board to prevent the kind of burn outs I don’t want.

Okay, making some progress.

Don't worry about the pressure readings for now. I've seen too many instances of guys getting led astray chasing numbers on a dial. The troubleshooting guide deliberately stays away from pressure readings as much as possible.

Have you tested the DCCV again after your repairs? Don't fall for the trap of convincing yourself it must be good now because you found and repaired one fault. There may been more than one active fault.

Therefore, please keep working through the troubleshooting guide. Make sure to repeat the test of the DCCV, and then proceed from there based on the current symptoms:

i didnt get it fixed and as winter was coming on i just left it
well summer is just around the corner and as i am lade up with a cruck leg i thought i would have another go
this time i looked at it a bit closer and managed to fix it, fixed the A/C as well
every thing works fine, couldn't be happier
left it for a couple of days and went to start it, flat battery
jumped the battery and heard the heater fan was on
now when i park the car, every thing is off but later the fan is running
put the key in the ignition and turn it on and the fan stops
