Hi AngryJagOwner,

It could be a Heater Control Valve issue. Try to set the heat all the way to HI and see if that works. Also you might want to play around with the mode settings to see if that helps. I normally manually set mine to blow out the face and foot vents first and then maybe go to Auto if it's damp out.

Here is some message traffic that might help:

Actually Heat being in the off pos, will isolate, the hot coolant from going into the heater core, so you have better cooling during summer months.

These electric type selonodes need to by exercised during the summer months,or they will seize or lock-up in the closed pos.

see https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/thread.php?t=27185 also.
Holy Smokes! A well written and helpful post. Daniel is very correct. Since there is no heat at all I wouldn't think it is the cabin temperature sensor, but those are known to go bad as well.

Try this first. Lack of heat is not usually caused by the DCCV but the AUX coolant pump. If you rev up the engine and hold it at 2000 rpm with the engine warm do you now get at least some heat?
Next check the coolant level. If low it could be your problem.
Report back on what you find.

Coolant is fine,
Engine had been running for a while. I went for a drive when the cool front hit and it was about 55 out. I figured I would put it on outside air and turn the fan on with temp at 89. It was still blowing cool air when I got home.
but my seat heater works???

Is there a fuse that controlls just the heater??

thanks for the replies.
